About Service, Quality & Compliance:

Part of every project we’re working on is an extensive research on quality and compliance proposal that includes all topics regarding RMA procedure and warranty periods.

What makes the Navco International Warranty & Service differentiate from other companies?

"In the automotive business it’s pretty standard to receive a 2 years warranty period when you buy a standard product.   In the last year a lot of warranty periods on vehicles have gone up, sometimes up to 7 years and if the solution provides is mounted by the dealer or as a PDI project he expects the warranty period is on the complete vehicles. That’s why in every project the warranty period is tailored to the wishes of the brand. Sometimes is equal to original parts, but sometimes even longer than the OE accessories.

To minimize the downtime of a vehicle there is a solid RMA procedure in place to make it very clear for importers and dealers on what steps can be taken in case of a repair or replacement. Component or sub-components fitting instructions and replacement times are supplied by Navco. Besides the standard English version we adapt to the local language! The service desk is available every workday for urgent questions.

How do you make sure that the quality of the product is a reflection of the warranty period promised?

“You can divide this into quality of the factory in general, and quality of the product itself.

Factory and company quality check

All our partners are selected on OEM quality fabrication and have ISO and TS certification. If it is a first company contact, I will visit the production factory (sometimes joined by a QC representative of our customer) to do a complete audit to screen the facility and make 100% sure that laws and  rules are being respected and also important: they do in practise what they promise!

After the factory has been screened and the first production has started, we cooperate with QIMA to do a Factory Inspection during and after the production.

Quality of the product

Before a final product is released there will be a prototype build with a testing procedure to make sure it meets the quality level we need. You can think of performing temperature cycle tests, water-, dust- and salt resistance tests and environmental test like Electro Magnetic (EMC).  In this way we do not only make sure that the product meets the quality level that is required in OEM Automotive but of course also, it meets the European Union compliances.

Also we have our own company registration in the global IMDS database. Not only to prove our product is within the safety level limits of Rohs, REACH and all materials are registered, also in this way, the car manufacturer knows exactly what parts can be recycled in accordance with the environmental legislations when the car will reach the end of its life.”

What future development do you see related to your expertise?

“There is certainly a strong improvement of the required QC level of car accessories. We have seen  that all major car manufacturers have already been shifting to a higher level and  I expect that the others will follow on that path as well.  The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance for example, they state that in any case, the end user that buys a new car should get the same level of quality of all components, regardless if it is mounted in the car production line (OEM part) or afterwards as an after sales product (OES part). I am completely aware of that and Navco is anticipating to keep up with all these movements in the market. “
